About the opportunity
The Senior Software Engineer works closely with Product Owners, Program Managers, other software engineers and UI/UX designers. It is a generalist role with additional specialisation in AWS, contact centre solutions or front-end development.
Key responsibilities of the role include:
Develop enhancements to our tools and web services
Develop and maintain the technical designs and documents across the full range of front-end and back-end technologies
Work with quality assurance engineers in maintaining a high percentage of test automation and to identify quality issues and defects and work to remediate these
Assist front line operations staff with troubleshooting priority production incidents affecting services
Work as a contributing member of an agile project team to help shape, design and implement solutions
What we’re looking for
5+ years software engineering experience in designing and building applications, with functional programming experience in any language
Expertise in NodeJs and Typescript
2+ years experience implementing web UI
3+ years experience working across a cloud provider, preferably AWS
2+ years experience in infrastructure automation
Demonstrated experience in implementing solutions with minimal guidance amid uncertainty of solution and scope
