How will I help?
The Senior Engineer will sit in the Treasury Technology team that supports & delivers application to Group Treasury to enable it to manage the Bank’s balance sheet, liquidity and risks.
As a Senior Engineer, working with Group Treasury, your main role will focus on Treasury Front Office’s Qliksense self-service analytics platform that integrates with existing Treasury data assets, thus extending data capabilities, and empowering Treasury to undertake data analytics of the Group's balance sheet at a customer account level.
The role is required to provide Qlik Platform administration duties and data analysis & technical specifications for:
New dashboards & enhancements to existing dashboards in the Treasury Analytics application.
Upgrades, licensing, reliability and maintenance of the QlikSense and QlikView platforms
Close engagement with technology infrastructure teams to provide optimal environments for the Qlik software solutions
These capabilities enable the Treasury team to analyse the Bank's balance sheet at a customer account / deal level across many metrics and apply predictive analytics across multiple scenarios.
This role will also require the candidate to:
Engage with business owners and relevant stakeholders to elicit business needs
Generate artefacts to document architecture designs, solution designs and data lineages.
Be a trusted advisor and consultant in all phases of the project including analysis, design, development, testing, user training, change management and implementation.
You’ll be responsible for:
Ensuring system performance and stability of the Qlik software solutions including all extensions and partner software.
Ensuring compliance of all Treasury Qlik based systems to Westpac standards and practices outlined by regulatory bodies and internal governance.
Delivering technical specifications for the development team.
Identifying issues and opportunities relating to the performance of Qlik applications.
This role can be based in Sydney, Brisbane or Melbourne.

What do I need?
To be set up for success in this role, you will be able to demonstrate:
In depth knowledge of QlikSense and QlikView software solutions, Qlik Extensions (Froms, Flow, Anychart, Alerts, Mashups) and Qlik Partner software (Nodegraph, NPrint, NewHub)
Experience of working in Treasury or Institutional Banking projects is beneficial.
Intermediate knowledge of SQL, Excel with VBA and other Microsoft Office applications is desirable.
Extensive experience in delivering high quality analysis outcomes & successful projects.
Strong stakeholder management skills
Experience working in Agile / Scrum teams.
