Working in collaboration with the Multidisciplinary Adolescent and the Intensive Case Management Services Teams, The Senior Specialist Family Violence Youth Consultant will enhance placement and build the capacity of our services by applying a secondary consultation and co-case management with a focus on Family Violence.

Your core responsibilities.

Outreach case management (assessment and support).
Secondary Consultations and Co-case Management to young people engaged in Berry Street programs.
Capacity building of current teams to enhance family violence responsiveness and prevention in everyday interactions through coaching and advice.
Family Violence Risk Assessments.
Facilitate links to therapeutic support for young people traumatized by family violence.
Expert advocacy to external stakeholders

You will have a Bachelor's level qualification in Social Work, recent employment in the family violence sector or equivalency met through the 7 Equivalency Principles in line with Recommendation 209's minimum mandatory qualification requirements. You will understand the gendered nature of family violence and its impact on victim survivors and their children and an awareness of the Family Violence Protection Act 2008, Child Youth and Families Act and the Multi-Agency Risk Assessment and Management Framework (MARAM).

The specialised level of this role will require the demonstrated ability to reflect on and analyse complex situations arising from tenancy needs with a capacity to adapt, support and manage change.

The annual base salary for this position is $96,962.32 plus super and includes the option of salary packaging.
