About the role:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Stock Controller to join our Eagle Farm Distribution Centre. The Senior Stock Controller will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of inventory management, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and optimization of stock availability across the Distribution Centre. The successful candidate requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail and focus, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Effective organisation, oversight and collaboration with Distribution Centre operations providing the highest level of inventory accuracy and availability.
- Assessing and taking effective action on inventory handling and loss related risks, ensuring safety, accuracy, and service is maintained, minimising the impact on customers, suppliers, and team members.
- Continual improvement of inventory management practices to enhance efficiency, reduce loss, and optimize availability.
- Ensure consistent and accurate record keeping of inventory movements and adjustments required to maintain inventory integrity.
- Develop and maintain open and collaborative working relationships and dialogue across all areas of the business, suppliers, and other external stakeholders.
- Utilise high performance communication when engaging team members.
- Supervise the stock control team, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient operations.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies related to stock management.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years in a similar role, with proven people leadership and ability to manage change effectively.
- Prior experience in Multi-channel Distribution Centre operations or similar environment.
- Data management and analysis skills, providing useful and actionable insights.
- Strong attention to detail and solution focussed.
- Continual improvement, building operational effectiveness and business sustainability.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and mentor a team.
