Our staff team of Structural Engineers continues to work on a steady pipeline of exciting and innovative projects and are currently seeking another Senior Structural Engineer to complement their dedicated team.
The team you will join is a technical leader in the Mining and Energy sectors, with unparalleled access to industry shaping projects due to the diversity of GHD and our panel contracts with Tier 1 client organisations. Your projects will include:
Process and NPI within many commodities such as iron ore, gold, lithium and bauxite
Energy generation, transmission and storage on projects including wind, solar and BESS.

Working with the Perth Resources and Materials Engineering Team, as well as with many other teams in WA and globally, this position offers great variety of projects, and will see you involved in all aspects of a project’s life cycle including:
Input into proposals including estimating structural design hours
Undertaking site inspection, investigations and scoping of projects
Involvement in study phases including concept designs
Detailed structural analysis and design for new infrastructure as well as remedial works or improvements to existing infrastructure
Technical report writing following both client or GHD guidelines
Following Australian Standards and Client Specifications
Project Management of single field structural projects and low complexity multi-discipline projects
Contributing to the development of GHD’s knowledge and skills in structural engineering including planning, design and construction
What would you bring to the team?
Degree qualified structural or civil engineer
10 - 15 years engineering experience, with a focus on the design of steel and concrete structures
Experience with Space Gass, with other analysis software competencies such as Strand7 and ANSYS favourable
Experience with WA’s Iron Ore Producers or major miners is well regarded, as is experience in a similar organisation
Highly developed open communication skills, both verbal and written
Attention to detail and self-motivated to succeed
Focus on client service, good people relationships and networking skills
