Job description
Clough has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Structural Engineer to join our Inhouse Engineering Team working on a range of our projects. In this role, you will effectively be responsible for design effort (i.e. design calculations, drawings, specifications and technical review of the works, etc.) working closely with the Chief / Lead / Principal Structural Engineer and Structural Designers to ensure timely, cost effective and fit for purpose engineering and design output complying with project cost & schedule constraints.

Your focus will include:
Accountable for performance and delivery of engineering services to support project outcomes against agreed project budgets and schedules.
Responsible for complying with the required technically acceptable standard of work for the discipline group and producing engineering design deliverables for project execution.
Delegate as necessary, while working within the framework and policies and higher delegations of the business.
Manage and coordinate the design effort of team reports to achieve satisfactory outcomes (project performance).
Work with Technical Specialists to ensure specification compliance, technical integrity of design (technical performance).
Participate in squad checks of drawings, datasheets, schedules, calculations, specifications and purchase orders from all disciplines.
What you will bring to the team:
Extensive hands-on concrete and steelwork design experience (8+ years) in mining or oil & gas projects in both brownfield and greenfield environment in Australia
Tertiary qualifications in Civil/Structural Engineering recognised by Engineers Australia (applicants with CPEng status will be highly regarded)
Good knowledge of local and international Codes and Standards
Advanced skills in Space Gass including plate element modelling and analysis
Good knowledge and understanding of constructability, safety in design and value engineering
Strong technical capability and report writing skills coupled with excellent time management skills
Excellent communication skills with all levels of stakeholders with the ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team will ensure your success in this role
