About you:

To be successful in securing this position, you will have:
  • Extensive experience with the ACS and at least one element (Radar, Fire Control, Processing).
  • Extensive experience across the systems engineering lifecycle, including: Methods; Tools and the application of Formal Analysis techniques.
  • Further education qualifications in a relevant discipline from a recognised institution and/or relevant experience within the Defence sector.
  • Past exposure to the Integration, Test and Evaluation of CS Products into Naval Platforms or equivalent complex Military Systems having challenging constraints.
  • Strong ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organisation across Defence industry, LMA and Destroyer Enterprise.
  • Extensive experience in complex stakeholder engagement to achieve shared outcomes. Extensive experience working with a broad set of internal stakeholders and external partnering organisations to achieve common goals.
  • Extensive experience in risk identification & mitigation practices, including seeking opportunities for continuous business improvement.
  • Eligibility to hold both an Australian NV-1 security clearance and access/handle Export Controlled technology, data and information.

Your responsibilities will include:

The ACS System Integration Analyst will be accountable for executing the following activities - with specific tasking direction and oversight from the CSD-A Ship Integration and Test (SI&T) Manager and AWS Engineering Services Lead, with technical support from the wider CS IPT community.
In this role, you will:
  • Provide technical guidance to the CSD-A engineering team on AN/SPY-1 where required.
  • Contributing to the development of Engineering Changes for SEA4KP6 and HCCS minor engineering changes.
  • Contributing to Technical & Programmatic Risk and Opportunity Assessments.
  • Contribute to analysis and assessment of the impacts to the Topside arrangement and Below Deck Equipment (BDE) in CS Compartments for each affected AWS element.
  • Assist with the review and refinement of CS compartment layouts and other drawing artefacts contained within the Technical Data Pack (TDP) (e.g. MICD, EICD, ICDL, ICDs, CBDs & CIIDs, etc.) for each affected AWS element.
  • Support the development of Pre-Engineered Change & Impact Assessments (PECIA) for Hobart Class Combat System (HCCS) minor engineering changes.
  • Assist DDGSPO Combat System Engineering in the development and execution of Engineering Changes (EC), from receipt of PECIA through to incorporation onboard the Hobart Class DDGs.
  • Support Independent Engineering Investigations and make recommendations, on behalf of the DDGSPO, to assist with the root cause analysis of Combat System Engineering issues related to AN/SPY-1.
  • Coordinate and facilitate local Integration, Verification, Validation and Certification activities as a result of Update or Upgrade activities.
  • Support the management of traceability between the test scenarios, data and requirements, including revision of VCRM and updates to DOORS Requirements Management System.
  • Development of test strategy/plans/procedures/Test cases as required and coordinate redline markup and feedback on test plans, procedures, and test performance as a result of major test events.
  • Provide an advanced level of technical support on combat system integration, test and demonstration activities that enable set-to-work of system elements.
  • Perform a wide range of activities supporting the operation and maintenance of the combat system network, command element, and display element facilitating the test program.
