About the Role:

We are seeking a Systems Administrator to join our client's Global IT-Ops team at their Gold Coast Office. The successful candidate will provide distributed support of Windows and Mac systems and cloud-based SaaS platforms across multiple geographical locations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Customer Service: Serve as the first point of contact for IT questions across the organization, ensuring exceptional customer service.
- ITOps Service Desk: Monitor and respond to incoming tickets, triaging high-priority issues and collaborating with other teams to resolve complex problems.
- System Administration: Provide administration and support for MDM-managed Windows and Mac systems.
- Asset Management: Work with asset management providers to ensure employees have the necessary hardware.
- Endpoint Automation: Develop creative scripting solutions and apply deep platform knowledge for zero-touch deployment, patch and configuration management, information security compliance, and identity and access management.
- DevOps Approach: Champion a DevOps methodology to enhance the end-user experience and improve the quality of life for the ITOps team.
- Documentation: Develop and improve internal and user-facing documentation regarding policies, procedures, and workflows.
- Employee Onboarding/Offboarding: Streamline the onboarding and offboarding process for in-office and remote employees, focusing on automation.
- Software/Cloud Administration: Configure and administer various software and cloud-based systems, including Microsoft Azure, Google Workspaces, AWS, Atlassian products, Slack, Zoom, and OpenVPN.
- Technical Projects: Participate in technical projects aligned with organizational goals, including large-scale IT migrations.
Key Skills and Experience:
- Experience with scripting languages such as PowerShell (Bash, zsh, Python a bonus).
- 5+ years of Windows desktop deployment and administration.
- 2+ years of macOS deployment and administration.
- Excellent troubleshooting, customer support, and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Self-starter attitude and initiative, comfortable working as part of a geographically dispersed team.
- Ability to work outside of normal business hours occasionally.
Desirable Skills:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
- SME-level experience administering/supporting Atlassian (Confluence, Jira, Jira Service Desk).
- Experience administering/supporting Google Workspaces, Microsoft 365, Slack, Zoom.
- Networking experience (Meraki, Ubiquiti).
- Cloud-based telephony system experience (Dialpad).
- AWS VPN administration experience.
