Senior Tax Accountant

The Position

The role represents an exciting opportunity to be or become a Manager of your set of clients and team. It would be suitable for someone who is either wanting to step up from supervisor/assistant manager into a manager role.

Their leadership team will help you to onboard new clients, develop your team and mentor you to lead a high-performance team.

About The Role:

• Review work performed by staff members in your team - specifically strategy
• Preparation of business advisory reports including cashflow projections
• Mentoring and training accountants in your team
• Managing your team's workflow
• Meet With New and Existing Clients
• Initial New Client Meetings
• Strategic client meetings
• Business advisory
• Strategic tax planning and structuring advice
• Tax & Compliance

Skills and experience

• Minimum of 5 years of experience working in a public practice firm
• Experience with working and communicating with clients
• Ability to prepare financial statements, tax returns & BAS end-to-end at a high level
• Moderate to High level of technical knowledge and be able to communicate this simply with clients (Div7a, GST, Tax)
• Ability to train junior staff members and perform reviews on all work including tax returns, BAS, tax planning and advisory reports
• Moderate to High level of Business Advisory, Advice and Tax Planning - eg Structuring, Tax Planning, CGT etc
• Experience using Xero and QuickBooks

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $100,000.00 – $130,000.00 per year
