Position Profile:
A Senior Technical Officer is required to join the team responsible for supporting medical technology used in hospitals. This position’s responsibilities are varied and include implementation, service and maintenance support in relation to medical ICT equipment and systems.
The successful applicant joins a team in the Clinical Engineer division of Health Technology Management Unit (HTMU) supporting sites across the East Metropolitan and South Metropolitan Health Services.
Applicants must have relevant post secondary qualification to approximately 12 months full time formal training. Prior experience with the servicing of medical equipment is not essential but the applicant should demonstrate up-to-date knowledge of analogue and digital electronics and experience in computing and networking environments. A good knowledge of computing and networking systems is desirable. The ability to communicate and work as part of a professional team is essential.

Our hospital network works together to provide a combination of tertiary, secondary and specialist health care services including emergency and critical care, state trauma, elective and emergency surgery, general medical, mental health, inpatient and outpatient services, aged care, palliative care, rehabilitation and women’s, children’s and neonates services.
The EMHS consists of Royal Perth Hospital; Armadale Health Service; Bentley Health Service; Kalamunda Hospital; St John of God Midland Public Hospital and a range of community and population health services.
