SalaryCSL Behring is recruiting for a Senior Visual Inspection (VI) Process Specialist to join our team at our Broadmeadows site. This role is a full-time permanent opportunity, and you will be the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Visual Inspection. Reporting to the Senior Manufacturing Manager - Visual Inspection & Packing, you will manage the design and upkeep of the VI process and deliver training to the VI manufacturing teams including visual inspection test kits training and qualification.
Please note that some flexibility is required for morning or afternoon shift work to perform operator qualifications.
The Role
- Deliver training programs to ensure they are effective and timely
- Define and implement measures of training and learning effectiveness
- Contribute to the development of Training Strategy and Annual Training Plans for Visual inspection
- Work with quality to review and create objective assessment processes
- Provide expertise in the training system, including module creation and training system design and structure
- Ensure operator qualification and requalification for visual inspection is completed following standard operating procedures
- Maintain visual inspection test kits to use in qualification processes
- Help generate Visual Inspection trend reports and associated CAPAs to aid in the detectability of defects or their reduction through upstream process controls
Your skills and experience
- A tertiary qualification in science/engineering or related discipline
- 5 years' manufacturing experience (R&D, Tech Services, Quality or Manufacturing) in a pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or biological industry, ideally within Visual Inspection
- Experience in managing technical learning services in a manufacturing or industrial services environment with high levels of regulation
- Demonstrated understanding of cGMP, regulatory requirements and relevant environmental, health and safety requirements as applicable to secondary manufacturing
- Knowledge of validation technology, production and management processes within and external to the pharmaceutical industry
- Understanding of quality systems including handling of process deviations, change controls and quality records
