Due to strong growth, Mott MacDonald's leading Built Environment team has an exciting new vacancy. You will be joining a diverse team of consultants who are passionate about what they do, with a proven track record guiding our clients, and leading delivery of our State and Country's most critical projects.

As a Sustainability Specialist, you’ll be working on significant projects that shape the communities in which we live. Building connections across our networks of international experts and bringing your knowledge to help our clients deliver cutting-edge projects. The scope and responsibilities of your role will include:
Supporting the Victorian Sustainability Lead in project delivery and supporting bidding and strategy around future major pursuits.
Managing existing clients and developing new clients
Leading the sustainability discipline for a complete sustainability project or as part of a multi-disciplinary project to successful outcomes. This includes running project meetings, workshops, and stakeholder/user sessions as well as internal management of team and deliverables.
Facilitating conversations between multiple stakeholders to devise cost effective and tailored sustainability strategies
Enabling and supporting business development activities of the Technical Directors including VIC and SA markets.
Integrating with all aspects of the business to weave sustainability into our services offering
Based on your level of experience and exposure; line manage and mentor sustainability team members to aid in creating a high performing team
Candidate Specification
Your Opportunity
Bachelor and/or master’s degree in a technical built environment engineering
Chartership will be highly regarded
Extensive sustainability project delivery experience, with demonstrated areas of subject matter expertise and industry presence
Strong technical background and familiarity with a range of software and modelling tools. This could include IES or similar, Ladybug tool, thermal comfort modelling, urban microclimate and modelling to support passive design strategies such as daylight or natural ventilation
Knowledge and experience in circular economy and a holistic approach to materials will be viewed favourably
