Your new role
Reporting into the Service Centre Manager, you will be responsible for delivering accurate and timely estimates on work being performed by the company Service Division. You will be a strategic thinker providing constructive and valuable input into continuous improvement. You will be working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure client requirements and compliance is adhered to. Duties will include but are not limited to;
Prepare quotations and proposals including interpretation of drawings, quantifying material costs, estimating job hours and lead times
Prepare and schedule jobs in co-ordination with the Service Centre Supervisor to arrange resources, establish priorities and efficient workflows
Liaise with internal & external customers and suppliers on estimation status and updates
Aim for continuous improvement in estimation procedures and processes
What you'll need to succeed
Mechanical Engineering Diploma or Trade Qualified, Mechanical Fitter or Fitter & Machinist
Prior experience in the same or similar position within the mining or manufacturing industry
Prior experience in estimating, quotations, and report writing
Sound understanding of pumps, mechanical seals, and other rotating equipment
An ability to interpret mechanical drawings, with a high attention to detail
Proficient with Microsoft Office, specifically Excel
Current forklift licence
Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol screen
Much be an Australian Citizen or hold permanent Australian residency
