Service Crew – Air leg Operator

Tanami Mine, NT

Anticipated Gross Annual Earnings – $223,000.00*

As a member of a valued Service Crew, you will be vital to the success of one of our major mining construction projects in the Northern Territory.

Based onsite at Tanami gold mine, you’ll draw on your experience to carry out Air legging operations including operation and maintenance of pneumatic drills and other equipment used in the installation and pull testing of underground construction rock bolting as well as wall and roof plates and conveyor module mounting bolts.

Working a 2:1 FIFO roster with flights from most major and many regional centres, you’ll be surrounded by some of the most experienced people in underground SMP construction in the business. They're a down-to-earth team of reliable, friendly, hard-working people - it’s not all hugs and roses, but we take your physical and mental health seriously.

You’ll make an impact by:

●     Using your sound planning and organisational skills to get the job done

What you’ll bring

To succeed in this role, you will have:

●     Previous Air leg machinery operational experience in an underground mining environment

●     A strong safety mindset – your safety and the safety of those you work with is paramount

●     A suitable level of fitness, grit and stamina for the demands of the role

●     A strong understanding of operational procedures and equipment maintenance practices

●     The ability to communicate effectively with your team members to coordinate drilling activities.

Ideally, you will also have:

●     A valid Drivers’ Licence

●     Working at Heights and Elevated Work Platform ticket

●     A strong work ethic and the ability to work independently and part of a team

●     Willingness to obtain a National Police Check.
