BlueCare | Service Liaison Coordinator x 2

  • Employment Term: Secondment till end June 2023 (possibility of extension)
  • Location: R&R North or R&R South
  • Remuneration: Level 5
Blue Care is embarking on an exciting transformation to expand its palliative care services around the state of Queensland. With it comes an incredible opportunity for an experienced administration and resource manager who is not only passionate about delivering exceptional customer service and coordination of a multiplicity of tasks, but has the unique ability to provide care and compassion, to the sensitive nature of palliative care.

This unique role combines the connection and support to clients and their carers with the logistics coordination of scheduling and rostering for a specialised clinical workforce across the state. This role is part of a growing team which will support a comprehensive list of responsibilities which will drive this exceptional world class service.

What's in the role?

Joining our team in the role of Service Liaison Coordinator will see you working in a variety of areas including, but not limited to:
  • Responding, as the first point of contact to client and carer enquiries over the phone and via e-mail through a dedicated palliative care phone number
  • Scheduling of visits for palliative care clients as per their multi-disciplinary care plan that will include visits with the Blue Care clinical care team and Allied Health. staff
  • Support the development of an ongoing roster to provide 24/7 clinical support for clients across the state via telehealth or onsite (depending on client location and staff availability)
  • Timekeeping and quality assurance of visits for palliative care services
  • Employee Timecard management (Kronos)
  • Negotiation with other schedulers outside of the program regarding local resource needs to support palliative care services
  • Logistics and travel coordination for clinicians operating from major hubs requiring deployment to remote areas
  • Administrative support for the program including expense reconciliation, fleet management and reporting
What do you need?

We provide ongoing training and support to the successful individual around our systems, program and engagement requirements. You will be supported by leaders directly within the Palliative Care Program, and indirectly the centralised Customer Service Centre and Resource Management Team functions for Aged Care and Community Services, to provide holistic support in the role. If you possess the following skills, it will certainly give you a head start in the role.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Great time-management skills with an ability to prioritise your workload in a fast-paced environment.
  • Management and completion of tasks in real-time, and confidence to escalate matters to ensure timely completion of tasks
  • Good knowledge and experience with MS Office and Database applications.
  • Confidence with smart phone and digital devices or willingness to learn.
  • Ability to understand the complex needs of Clients with a life-limiting illness, the vulnerable and frail aged.
  • Previous experience or exposure in administration, payroll, scheduling or timekeeping is not essential but highly desirable.
