You will lead and mentor a clinical team of RN's, AIN's and EEN's, as well as service coordinators in a respite accommodation setting for children living with a disability. The role involves;
- Oversee the day-to-day running and operations of disability respite accommodation including budgeting, transport, and other requirements
- Lead staff meetings and performance reviews to ensure the team is engaged and providing high-quality services
- Encourage a high-performing, collaborative team
- Engage with relevant stakeholders including family members and external services
- Review individual care plans for participants and ensure staff are up to date on changes and requirements
- Ensure WHS, risk management, and all other relevant policies and procedures are adhered to within the organisational framework
- Strong leadership skills - communicating and supporting the organisation's vision and encouraging high performance
- 2 years + of leadership experience is essential
- Experience working in a setting with individuals with complex medical and support needs
- Experience working directly with children is highly regarded
- Prior experience working within a clinical team in a disability setting
- Strong level of communication and ability to delegate appropriate tasks to team members
- A positive, upbeat attitude and collaborative approach to management
- A strong understanding of the disability accommodation space, specifically respite and NDIS
- Registered Nurses with disability and management experience are highly regarded
- NDIS Workers Screening or ability to acquire
- Working with Children Check
- Criminal Record Check, to be carried out by organisation
- COVID-19 Vaccinations including booster, as per current government mandates for the Disability sector, or a valid medical exemption
