Service Manager - New England Brain Injury
Tamworth Hospital

To be eligible to apply for this position the applicant must be a current employee of Hunter New England Local Health District or a current employee of Calvary Mater Newcastle.

About the Role
The successful applicant will be leading and managing the New England Brain Injury Service to provide a specialist multidisciplinary clinical and case management service for people within the New England area who have incurred a brain injury with a focus on transitional and community phases of their care. This is a multidisciplinary and specialised team with a strong professional, collegial and client/family centred ethos and manages people with Brain Injuries across the New England/North West of NSW. You will be making a real difference within a rural community.

Tamworth Hospital is one of the New England's largest regional hospitals, recently refurbished to boast brand new, state of the art facilities. Tamworth Hospital is a major Rural Referral Hospital providing services to the North-West area of NSW. In July 2015, we opened the doors to a new $220 million acute services redevelopment; equipped with 348 treatment spaces; we conduct over 8000 surgical procedures per annum over five theatre spaces.

About You
You will have high level verbal and written communication skills including briefs and business cases with well-developed communication, interpersonal and conflict resolution skills. You will also have the capability to lead quality improvement projects across a service using recognised quality improvement tools and processes.

Booster doses are highly recommended for all health care workers who have completed the primary course of COVID-19 vaccinations. Please provide proof of booster vaccination if available.
