Our client who offers worldwide specialty industrial related rental solutions and services with a focus on oil-free, high pressure, energy saving, and other compressed air applications are seeking an experienced Service Technician to join its Branch in Brisbane.
With their global network of rental depots and service centres, they can meet any immediate or emergency need for compressed air nationally.
The focus of the role is to maintain and service the company’s rental fleet assets to the set goals, targets and standards, whilst providing a professional, competent, courteous and prompt service to all customers
Duties include:
- Manage all service jobs and calls via the Rental ERP to ensure a complete history is maintained for each item of Equipment.
- Undertake all service and repair work in a professional and responsible manner, which at times may involve intra and interstate travel.
- Coordinate stock and non-stock parts required to complete service jobs. Report defects or potential defects with machinery under evaluation or servicing.
- Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of the service area and vehicle.
- Record all Maintenance and Non-Maintenance hours into the Rental ERP.
- Maintaining correct branch parts stock level in relation to the equipment currently on rent and forecast requirements for long term Rental Agreements.
- Ensure accurate reporting for all Service Jobs subject to Warranty and submit to the Service Manager for collation and reporting.
- Ensure that all breakdowns, failures or Service Calls are recorded and processed in a timely manner
- Actively identify and feed back to the Branch any other opportunities for business where appropriate at each customer visit.
- Manage all waste materials generated by any maintenance activities and dispose of correctly.
- All accessories to be available for use and all electronic faults to be reported to the Service Manager immediately.
- Support for branch administration as required.
- Participate If Required in the After Hours call Roster
- Attend and contribute to any relevant training sessions / toolbox meetings as determined by the Business Manager and/or Service Manager.
- Make sure the appropriate PPE equipment is always available and serviceable.
To be successful in this role you will need:
- Mechanical or electrical trade qualifications as required by the position.
- Have advanced diagnostic skills & hands on experience primarily with the repair, service and maintenance of Electric / Diesel compressors and generators,
- Experienced in working in an unsupervised Environment
- Valid driver's licence.
- Applicants with refrigeration and / or electrical experience will be highly regarded.
- Dedication to Safety and Compliance
- Experience in a field service role.
- Good presentation & effective organisational and communication skills. Basic/Intermediate PC skills.
Monday to Friday 7.30am to 3.30pm as your core hours, this is a fantastic opportunity to have the best of both worlds and be based close to home and also having to complete work in remote locations.
