The position of Service Technician is responsible for the technical planning, maintenance and performance of related service functions to optimize all daily professional service operations and assist the Operations Manager to develop a profitable service business unit.

Adecco are currently recruiting for a Service Technician with a background in one of these areas - mechanical/light vehicle/heavy vehicle/small motor/forklift/mower experience. It is a permanent role and can be located anywhere in Melbourne and the head office and workshop is in East Melbourne. 38 hour per week with some overtime. $70k - $80K plus super and vehicle which can be used for personal use. Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

Perform technical trouble shooting
Servicing inclusive repairs of professional machines both in the field and in house
Driving customer relationships for the service function in the area of repairs
Maintain the CRM service system accurately and timely to demonstrate all service work performed with reflected associated costs
Providing backup and support to service related projects
Maintaining Spare Parts Boxes for key customers and product ranges
Maintaining a service vehicle to enable efficient servicing in the field, inclusive of the responsible management of spare parts to be stored within the vehicle
Effectively maintain an in house work station to efficiently service professional machines
Support the delivery of process improvement for service operations in the area of repairs
Perform safety inspections as required
Perform delivery and collection of professional machines and related spare parts as necessary

Profile

Qualification

Mechanical or Auto Electrical qualification desirable but not essential

Technical Experience

Proven track record in servicing mechanical machinery/light vehicle/heavy vehicle/small engines/forklifts etc
Proficiency with electrical circuits/electronic panels (Desirable)
Strong Mechanical Aptitude
70% mechanical and 30% electrical
Well presented
Great communication skills in client facing role
Willingness to learn product range

Job Offer

Fantastic package - $70,000 - $80,000 plus super, vehicle and fuel card
