COMMUNITY & PLACE COORDINATOR

An exciting opportunity exists for an enthusiastic and experienced Community and Place Coordinator to join the Shire’s Community Services team.
This role is responsible for working across the Shire of York with internal and external stakeholders to achieve broader community development goals and objectives by:
• Working with Council and community stakeholders to facilitate community development in line with the Shire’s Strategic Community Plan.
• Managing the day-to-day operational priorities and functions of all community and Place programs and staff.
• Working closely with community stakeholders to guide the development of, and support the implementation of, community development initiatives and projects delivered across the Shire.
- Creating great places and events for the residents – places and events that are enjoyed by our community, that are interesting, inviting, and adaptable, and establish York as the ‘Place to Be’.

The salary for the position is offered in accordance with Level 8 of the Shire of York Inside Staff Collective Enterprise Agreement 2019 ($104,188 - $109,028) inclusive of 10.5% superannuation guarantee and up to 4% salary sacrifice Shire matching contribution. Placement within the range will be determined by the applicant’s skills and experience.
