Grand Ridge Environmental Services (GRES) completes silviculture work, such as:
- weed spraying
- fire work/firefighting
- tree planting
- fertilising
- chainsaw work
- forest management projects
We are seeking applications from motivated individuals who are keen to work in the forestry industry. The work is on a casual basis, with potentially full-time hours. GRES is predominantly an HVP contractor but also completes work for Parks Victoria, various local councils, VicRoads, environmental organisations such as GreenFleet and Greening Australia, and local landholders.
The GRES depot is based in Boolarra South, 15 minutes south of Boolarra, 30mins north of Foster + Toora. We work all over Gippsland, but much of the work is based in South Gippsland.
The work is physical, so a good level of fitness and capability is required. You will be required to pass a drug and alcohol (mandatory for some clientele) and pre-employment medical test before commencement.
A lot of the work is on a hectare/piece rate basis, which means that you have the opportunity to make great money if you work hard.
CFA/firefighting qualifications are highly regarded.
