A part of the Apiam Animal Health group of regional and rural veterinary clinics across Australia, Singleton Veterinary Hospital is a mixed animal practice that prides itself on having a great relationship with clients, customer satisfaction and going above and beyond in patient care.
We are looking for an experienced Veterinary Nurse Manager who is passionate about providing high standards of patient and customer care and is ready to lead our team.

The role:
Direct the daily activities of nursing staff to ensure effective treatment and efficient management of patients
Provide on-the-job training and mentoring support to the nursing team and trainee nurses to address skills deficits and increase clinical competence
Manage the rosters to ensure adequate support staff to clinical staff ratios are achieved including the afterhours roster
Establish and run regular nurse meetings with the team to ensure they are updated on changes within the business and feedback from vets is provided to continually improve the team
Coordinate clinic admissions, including client bookings and appointments to ensure the vets and nurses are not double booked, have adequate time between appointments, and have scheduled breaks during the day
Confidently perform in all areas of clinical Veterinary Nursing including patient care, monitoring anesthetics, pathology and pharmacology
About you
Cert IV Veterinary Nurse or Veterinary Technician
4 years’ experience within a busy Veterinary Clinic
Confident in all areas of Veterinary Nursing
Team Leadership experience required
Strong problem solving, decision making and communication skills
Commitment to promoting positive workplace culture
