Job description

This is a new role based in our production facility in Canning Vale, WA. As Quality Assurance Coordinator you will report to the FSQA manager - Downstream. 

Given your technical background and acquired experience on the matter, your role will be to help build the foundation of the local quality system as well as to improve the processes and practices in place and align the overall level of quality with other HelloFresh Australia Distribution Centers.

You will…

  • Inspect, evaluate, and verify the current quality management practices at the warehouse. 
  • Initiate update where deemed necessary, drafting missing procedures and verification of activities once they are peer reviewed and well applied on the production floor, 
  • Identify improvement opportunities on raw material specifications, product handling practices, the safety standards in place for receival, storage and delivery of food in order to improve the process operation and overall customer experience,
  • Able to naturally and automatically liaise with counterparts at other HelloFresh Australia Distribution Centers to review, continuously develop, improve or align new and existing policies, procedures as well as support development of standardised approach to quality management, 
  • Ensure the accuracy and maintenance of the local Distributions Center’s (Canning Vale) Food quality system (e.g. PRPs, HACCP plan, SOPs and specific monitoring records),
  • Ensure conformance to HelloFresh standards, BRC Storage and distribution requirements, HACCP principles, Local Council and Biosecurity Regulatory requirements, Food Safety regulations, GMP, GHP, including equipment and environmental sanitation,
  • Lead and drive a rigorous approach to Root Cause Analysis arising from internal audits/near misses at the Distribution Center (Canning Vale) to close out and implement resulting onsite corrective/preventative actions and monitor their sustainability,
  • Support locally the Root Cause Analysis work done at the regional level, where required, 
  • Ensure that the customer experience feedback is well integrated in the continuous improvement process and meets the overall business standard,
  • To be able to prepare, deliver and maintain records of relevant training to employees across various departments  and monitor compliance thereof. 

You are / have…

Demonstrated experience (4 years minimum) in managing an operational team, ideally a QA/QC team and preferably in FMCG,

Possess excellent planning, prioritisation and organizational skills to manage multiple priorities,

Able to effectively liaise with both inter- and intra- disciplinary teams across various departments either at the Distribution Center’s levels, across the organization or with external stakeholders,

HACCP trained (level 3 being a minimum),

Sound understanding of Quality Management Systems, such as ISO 9001,

Demonstrated experience in developing, implementing and maintaining  compliance to BRC S&D v3 or v4, ISO 22000, HACCP requirement programs as well as WA Food Authority and Australian standards.
