The Role
Supporting their continuous growth in the Australian solar industry, an experienced Site Supervisor is required to join their Gulgong-based 110MWdc Solar Farm – 30KMs from Mudgee, NSW.
As a Site Supervisor, you will play a key role in maintaining a high standard of operation and performance within the plant, whilst ensuring a safe work environment for your team. Supported by a 24/7 Control Room, this role will work closely with Solar Asset Managers, Site Technicians, and Greenskeepers.
Reporting to the Regional Manager, your duties will consist of:
- Overseeing all personnel on site, ensuring safety and quality standards are met.
- Coordinating on-site project planning, installations, commissioning, quality inspections, and performance testing.
- Ensuring all documentation and required reports are reviewed, completed, submitted, and filed.
- Maintaining strong communication across all necessary parts of the organization.
- Conducting preventative maintenance activities including testing, inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing, commissioning, and modifying of all components on site.
- Ensuring vegetation/pest management practices are to.
About You
With experience in Solar operations and maintenance, you will have proven proficiency in both AC and DC systems, including inverters, switchgears, tracker motors, transformers, power meters, computer monitoring systems, associated sensors, PV modules, and PV arrays.
Whilst applicants from other Renewables and Industrial Maintenance settings are urged to apply, to be considered for the role, you must be able to address the following criteria:
- Previous experience supervising teams and external contractors.
- Ability to provide on-call assistance when needed.
- Ability to read and understand electrical schematics and other associated documents.
- Medium and high voltage switching experience.
- Experience using Data Communication software such as SCADA.
- Strong time management skills.
- Valid NSW Electrical Supervisors/Contractors licence
- Relevant trade certificate
- Open Driver’s Licence
- First Aid and Low Voltage Rescue certificate
- High Voltage Switching Operator Licence (desirable, though not essential).
