What you’ll do: Based out of our Frenchs Forest Sky Racing Studios, you’ll assist within the production department as a TV Director’s Assistant. Work with a diverse team of operators under the instructions of your director and use some of the newest technologies to broadcast live racing throughout Australia and abroad. You’ll work closely and cohesively with your department, as well as Producers to ensure broadcast elements (such as graphics and Raceday setups) are ready for broadcast. We operate 24/7, so you must be flexible and available to work across a seven-day work week. It will include night shifts, weekends and public holidays on a regular basis. Qualities you’ll need:
- To be driven and adaptable, with the ability to work amongst a team while multi-tasking.
- To be flexible and versatile, learn new skills and adapt to an evolving television environment.
- To follow instructions is essential, as is taking initiative when required.
- Ability to keep calm under pressure and handle stressful situations with poise.
- Extreme attention to detail, typing skills essential.
- Ability to work to strict on-air deadlines.
- Knowledge of horse racing
- Live broadcast experience
- Knowledge of Viz Trio and its various applications would be advantageous
