Form of work Ascot Veterinary Surgery is on the search for an amazing Part-Time Vet to join our friendly and supportive team! This role is a parental leave position to cover 6-12 months, commencing May 2023.
Our team work collaboratively in a beautiful clinic located in the heart of Ascot, where our client’s pets are treasured members of their family. Our long-standing and established client base is built on trusting and loyal relationships, where our high standards of patient care and services are deeply valued. You will feel motivated, empowered, and respected not only by your fellow team members but also by a very high rate of client compliance and referral uptake.
We have a strong focus on preventative care and have a completely fitted out, purpose built dental suite with im3 dental machine and dental x-ray. We’re also equipped with ultrasound, digital x-ray, IDEXX in-house laboratory, sterile theatre and two consulting rooms. We maintain a manageable daily workload comprising of mainly routine surgical procedures and consults, with scheduled hospital rounds, history writing and catch-up time, and of course – your lunch break!
We’re just a minute’s walk from leafy Ascot Park and a variety of delicious cafes and restaurants. We’re also conveniently located close to the M1 highway and Hendra train station, and we’re only 15 minutes from Brisbane CBD, 10 minutes to Brisbane Airport, and 5 minutes from Hamilton Northshore.
Enjoy flexibility with a 2-day work week across Monday and Friday 10am-6pm (or 8am-4pm). Your week will be evenly split between surgery and consults. We prioritise work-life balance with no afterhours, no on-call, no public holidays, and no Sundays - we operate 7:30am-6pm weekdays and 8am-1pm Saturdays.
