About the role

South West Healthcare (SWH) is seeking a Smoking Cessation Coordinator to provide individual counselling and support for people withdrawing form nicotine addiction. This position is responsible for screening clients, providing intake assessments and developing care plans for individuals referred to the Smoking Cessation Program. Working as part of our Warrnambool Community Health team you will provide smoking cessation interventions in line with the evidence base and national standards and providing one on one counselling support to clients.

This is a part time position (16 hours per fortnight) available for immediate commencement.

What you bring

The successful applicant will demonstrate a strong commitment to maintaining professional confidentiality and must have excellent communication skills. A minimum of 2 years' experience in health / community services and an understanding of the treatment of nicotine addiction is essential for this position.
