$80,000 - $95,000 per year (depending year)About the RoleMySMSF is a leading provider of a user-friendly online platform that streamlines SMSF administration. We're looking for a talented and experienced accountant to join our growing team and play a vital role in supporting our users who leverage SMSFs for property investment.Key Responsibilities

• Partner with MySMSF users to prepare and lodge complex SMSF tax returns for property investments, adhering to ATO (Australian Taxation Office) guidelines and legislation.
• Analyse and interpret financial statements and transaction data related to property investments held within SMSFs, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Utilise MySMSF's online platform to efficiently manage the ongoing accounting for SMSF property investments, including:

• Depreciation calculations
• Rental income and expense tracking
• Loan repayments
• Identify and implement tax-effective strategies specifically for property investments within SMSFs, maximising user benefits while adhering to all regulations.
• Provide clear and concise accounting advice and guidance to MySMSF users on managing their property investment SMSFs through the MySMSF platform and other communication channels.
• Stay up-to-date on the latest SMSF regulations and tax legislation impacting property investments, utilising MySMSF's resources and attending relevant training opportunities.
• Collaborate with the MySMSF support team to ensure seamless service and address user inquiries related to property investment accounting within SMSFs.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2-3 years' experience in SMSF accounting, with a demonstrated focus on property investment.
• Qualified Accountant (CA, CPA, or equivalent) or strong understanding of accounting principles.
• In-depth knowledge of Australian taxation law, particularly as it applies to SMSFs and property investments.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a meticulous eye for detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex financial and tax concepts in a clear and user-friendly manner.
• Proficiency in accounting software packages (MYOB, Xero, etc.)
• Familiarity with SMSFs software (BGL, Class etc.)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the potential to develop user-friendly communication methods.
