Government agency looking for a Director (Infrastructure Design) to assist with facility planning services.
Your new company
Our client is a government agency based in Brisbane that provides a multitude of products and services to deliver strategic project plans across a variety of projects within the health sector. Due to an increase in workload, they are looking to add a Director (Infrastructure Design) to their team to lead the planning of their programs and other capital works projects.
Your new role
You will be responsible for providing strategic level advice regarding the operation and clinical design considerations to facilitate the delivery of planned, integrated and efficient building design and assurance. You will strategically manage the development, implementation and monitoring of Infrastructure Design that enhances the capability and capacity of all stakeholders, and lead analysis of developments and trends in health facility planning. Additionally, you will provide strategic leadership and advice to internal and external stakeholders to ensure potential risks and project requirements are addressed.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will have previous experience in the planning and design of capital works projects, with an understanding of health facility projects being beneficial. You will therefore come from a background in client-side project management, program management, planning, or design management, with a relevant discipline in these fields. You will understand the legislation, policies, procedures and standards involved in the development of capital works projects and be able to provide sound advice using this knowledge. Additionally, you will have demonstrated experience in providing strategic direction and operational leadership to a team within a complex and changing business environment.
What you'll get in return
You will be offered an immediate start in a full-time contracted/casual role with a government agency located in Brisbane CBD. You will be offered an initial 6-month contract with the possibility of extension, paying an SO hourly rate + super.
