POSITION OBJECTIVE
As the Social Media & Comms Specialist, you will be a guru at creating exceptional content and copy, someone who is known for having a creative eye, and can execute rapidly across multiple social networks! Reporting to the Marketing Director, you will play a pivotal role in helping our customers discover all the great and important products we manufacture and distribute, along with the education we provide around child safety.
RESPONSIBILITIESSocial Media Management
- Oversee and manage all content creation for Social Media to grow audience and subscriber base for Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn and TikTok.
- Deliver a Social Media plan and schedule across the various platforms in line with business goals. Social Media Calendars (AU & NZ) must be planned out for a min 3 months ahead of time with key events, offers and strategy points.
- Work closely with the design/creation team on assets required for the Social Media plan.
- Utilise Meta and other scheduling platforms to manage Social Media (Sprout, Grin, Planoly etc)
- Liaison with consumer support for all consumer queries on social (DM and on page)
- Creating aesthetic Social Media feeds, using client branding kits and proposing new ideas to clients in monthly strategy meetings.
- Assist in the development and communication of local and global brand campaigns that are to be rolled out effectively across Social Media platforms.
- Manage requirements for global Social Media photoshoots.
- Graphic Design Skills using Canva to create social graphics for in-feed and story posts, EDM's, video.
- Filming video footage on an iPhone or Camera for client reels Editing reels in Premier pro or Editing software.
- Confidently communicate digital marketing approach, processes & practices to marketing team.
- Production – assist where applicable in photoshoots, talent, media and run sheets.
- Reporting – regular analysis of Social Media platforms (growth, audiences, engagement, reach etc)
Influencer Campaigns
- Develop, execute and manage influencer relationships for AU and NZ – includes liaising with influencers and bloggers relevant for the brand (agreements, content plans/requirements, product partnerships etc).
- Assist in the execution of influencer campaigns, events, and activations.
- Ensure all content created by set influencers can be leveraged through social platforms to help increase engagement.
Sponsorships/Partnerships and Communications
- Assist in the management of partnerships and sponsorships (LLTF, RCH, KIdsafe etc) in line with set agreements.
- Assist with campaigns, events and activations with set sponsorships/partnerships
- Leverage content from set sponsorships/partnerships across our Social Media platforms as a means of communicating activities with our target audience.
Brand compliance
- Apply the appearance, tone and voice for all Britax ANZ brands in support of the objectives of the marketing plan while remaining compliant with global brand guidelines.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS
Internal Liaisons: Marketing Team, Sales Team, Product Team, Customer Service, IT and Finance.
External Liaisons: Media agency, talent, influencers, print suppliers, event & expo suppliers, retail customers and service providers.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- 2-3 years of experience in Social Media management, focusing on organic content.
- Understanding of Social Media algorithms and graphic design skills with Canva / Photoshop or Figma
- Proficiency in scheduling platforms like Meta Business Suite.
- A premium and polished style to influence visual imagery and copy
- Strong copy writing and communication skills
- Strong time management skills.
- Experience with Email Marketing
- Well-developed interpersonal, verbal, communication and presentation skills and excellent personal presentation
- Attention to detail is essential.
- A collaborative nature and positive, can-do attitude!
NOTE: this position requires a Working with Children Check (WWCC) because from time to time the incumbent will be doing child-related work within the meaning of the Working with Children Act 2005.
