Permanent part time position
(Hours negotiable)
The Social Support facilitator supports our valuable clients in the Southern Metropolitan Region!
The position is based in Bentleigh East, Carrum Downs,
Narre Warren or Frankston.
$30.46 - $33.23 p/hr (depending on skills/experience)
+ 10.5% Superannuation + Not for Profit Packaging!

About the role ...
We have an exciting opportunity for a Certificate III qualified Social Support Facilitator to join our team and make a valuable contribution in the life for older people from Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) Backgrounds. The main responsibilities of the role include assisting frail, older people to participate in community life and feel socially included through structured, group-based activities that develop, maintain or support independent living and social interaction.
About you ...
You will have a flexible, caring, patient attitude and an ability to work in a professional and proficient manner. A positive and innovate approach to the provision of aged care and demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional and staff development.
Qualifications and Experience
Certificate III in Aged Care required
Level 2 First Aid and CPR
Drivers Licence
Skills & Experience
A knowledge of Community Aged Care services preferred
The ability to work with frail and/or dementia clients and their families
The ability to work in a team
The ability to work in a culturally sensitive manner with an ethno-specific environment.
Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional and staff development
A positive and innovate approach to the provision of aged care
The ability or willingness to speak or learn another language with an understanding of other cultures preferred
Demonstrated experience and skills in driving 12 seater buses advantageous but not essential
Experience in organising group activities and excursion for seniors desirable
A police check with no disclosable outcome, evidence of current flu vaccination and full COVID-19 vaccination is required by MiCare for this position.
