Duties will include:
Deploy and maintain Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines across multiple environments
Work along side team of Agile developers using JIRA, Confluence and other Atlassian suite products.
Deploy and maintain IoT applications on micro-services architecture on Linux
Deploy and maintain Windows services on Windows servers
Implement automation, effective monitoring, and build-metrics management
Support and work alongside a cross-functional engineering team on the latest technologies
Iterate on best practices to increase the quality & velocity of deployments
Sustain and improve the process of knowledge sharing throughout the engineering team
Have on call responsibilities in rotation with the engineering team
Linux and Windows System Administration, tools administration
Secure, scale, and manage Linux and Windows virtual environments (VMware experience desirable)
Deployment automation using Ansible, with Compose, Docker, Dockerfiles, Kubernetes, Nginx
Configuration Management using Git/GitHub and other Atlassian tools
Automated builds using Jenkins
Test automation using Cucumber, Junit, or equivalent
Strong communication, collaboration and documentation skills
An ability to drive to goals and milestones while valuing and maintaining a strong attention to detail
Excellent judgment, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills
Understanding of software development lifecycle best practices
Self-motivated individual that possesses excellent time management and organizational skills
Having one or more of the following is a plus
Experience with delivery of a SaaS product
Strong understanding of micro-services and related architectures
Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
Knowledge of tools like Ansible, Puppet and Jenkins Pipeline
DevOps Engineer is expected to have a Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
