SalaryGilson is looking for a Sommelier / Wine Curator / wine director, or wine steward. If you have a deep knowledge of wines and have previous experience in selecting and maintaining the wine offerings for a restaurant we would love to hear from you. A formal title of sommelier is not essential if you have desired expertise to skilfully guide our guests through our extensive wine menu which boasts a carefully curated selection of circa 100 wines. You will also be responsible for shaping wine programs along with and ensuring the quality and diversity of the wine selection.
Your knowledge and enthusiasm for predominantly Austrian and Italian wine will be instrumental in creating memorable experiences for our guests.We're not just looking for someone to serve wine; we want someone who can inspire and lead our team to excellence. Your role will also involve training and mentoring our staff, ensuring that everyone shares your passion and commitment to delivering outstanding service.
What We're Looking For:
We're seeking someone with proven experience in a similar FOH role, preferably with a strong focus on Australian and Italian wine. Experience in working with wine representatives, buying and stock control. You should have an infectious passion for wine and a natural flair for customer service. Flexibility is key, as you'll need to be available to work evenings and weekends.
