The Position
Hawkesbury District Health Service (HDHS) is a modern, 125-bed integrated health service located at historic Windsor, in the north-west of Sydney, treating both private patients and public patients under contract to Nepean Blue Mountains Local Health District.

Medical and Surgical Services as well as extensive Community and Allied Health Services.
An opportunity exists for an experienced Anaesthetist to provide specialist anaesthetic services in general adult, paediatric and obstetric anaesthesia.
This position is being offered as either a Visiting Medical Officer or Staff Specialist on a permanent full time or part time basis, with contracted hours negotiated with the successful Consultant. You will be required to undertake clinical shifts as directed which includes participation on the on-call / after-hours / weekend roster.
The successful candidate will have:
A willingness and capacity to embrace the Mission and Values of St John of God Health Care.
Fellowship of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists.
Eligibility for full registration as a Medical Practitioner with the Medical Board of Australia (AHPRA) as a specialist in Anaesthetics.
Demonstrated substantial clinical experience in the management of high acuity patients in a complex hospital environment, including Paediatric and Obstetric Anaesthesia.
Evidence of career long education and professional development.
Demonstrated experience in teaching at registrar or fellowship level.
