Specialist Audiologist opportunity – 9 days per fortnight (would consider part-time)

Batemans Bay is in the Eurobodalla Shire on the pristine South Coast and just 2 hours from Canberra. It is known as the land of many waters and has numerous wetlands, watercourses and around 110km of crystal-clear coastline.
It is a treasure trove of natural wonders waiting to be explored. There are over 60 towns and hamlets in the area, many of which sport restaurants and cafes catering to the 40,500 residents and thousands of tourists that flock to the coast during the peak season. The area is also rich in Aboriginal history and culture and is watched over by Mount Dromedary – an icon of significant spiritual significance.
Batemans Bay is the perfect spot to raise a family amongst the fresh air and wildlife or equally to get that idyllic work life balance we all crave. It is a great base for exploration of the rest of the fabulous South Coast.
The South Coast Team consists of 7 Clinicians and 4 Front of House working across our 3 centres – Nowra, Batemans Bay and Bega. This position is based in Batemans Bay with opportunity to work across the rest of the coast from time to time.
This position will be required to travel to our visiting sites across the region, as such a drivers licence is required.

In this role you will be actively involved in a wide range of activities including:
Clinical Casework
Maintain a high level of clinical skills through regular clinical casework
Assess the auditory problems of routine and complex clients, providing appropriate device fitting, rehabilitation, counselling and reports to referral sources
Be an expert in the area of products, paediatrics and adult specialist case work and a role model for sales
Clinical Development and Quality
Monitor and evaluate the quality and consistency of clinical services and assist Manager to action areas which are not best practice
Undertake one to one coaching of clinicians and file reviews to improve both clinical capability and business outcomes; including compliance to HSP contract
Active involvement in the induction and development of clinicians
Lead Hearing Centre clinical meetings
Assist with the implementation and acceptance of new clinical practices and products
Business Management
Assist the Centre to achieve targets and KPIs across all client groups
Under the Manager’s direction, assist with overseeing the day to day operation of the Centre and support the team in the provision of timely and quality services to clients
Be proactive in informing the Manager of issues and concerns
Stakeholder Engagement
Participate in promotional activities as required to engender a positive image of Hearing Australia in the community and referral sources.
The ideal candidate will hold
a Tertiary Qualification in Audiology,
QP number,
current driver licence and ability to travel
enjoy community liaison with a wide and diverse client base
and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Complex Adult case work
Paediatric case work
Outreach / HAPPEE
Your clinical abilities will enable you to undertake the full range of professional services.
