We are a very established and well-respected specialist paediatric dental practice in the eastern suburbs of Melbourne. Our practice is state-of-the-art, and purpose built for managing children
Our long-standing team are absolutely passionate about working with children. In addition to working at the practice, each one of our clinicians is involved in teaching and/or research positions at the Dental Hospital, Royal Children's Hospital or the University of Melbourne
The parents of our patients are highly discerning and demand a very high level of passion, service and clinical excellence from our team. In turn, they are also the ambassadors of our practice due to their very positive experience with our team
Responsibilities include but not limited to: -
- Management of the operations of the practice at strategic and operational levels, including review of services provided, day to day management of the services, including comprehensive management of the facility
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with all stakeholders including children and their parents, both internal and external, who may contribute to enhancing the services within the region
- Undertake, manage and be accountable for staff performance management, contractual compliance and embedding the Code of Conduct
- Champion the organisation’s support of staff by advocating safety and wellbeing programs
- Management of compliance activities, reporting deadlines and accreditation requirements ensuring all standards of practice, policies, protocols and procedures are developed to specified standards
- Manage the budget for the practice
- Support the organisation’s strategic plan and work to achieve its goals including; developing and monitoring an operational plan, addressing the strategic risks identified by the Executive team
- Act as a resource person encouraging leadership, improvement, accountability and problem solving among staff, as well as fostering collaboration across the organisation.
- Deliver quality clinical advice to the Executive as appropriate and actively promote the quality principles
- Ensure all practices are consistent with established policies and protocols.
- Maintain competencies related to Occupational Safety and Health.
- Representing the practice in negotiations, and at conventions, seminars, public hearings and forums
- Controlling selection, training and supervision of staff
What Skills and Knowledge do I need?
- Degree in management or relevant field
- Working experience in health/dental industry
- Strong attention to detail and excellent writing skills
- Comfortable to deal directly with customers and other stakeholders.

Salary: $70,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year
