St Teresas Catholic College is looking for two passionate and enthusiastic Specialist Instrumental Tutors in

• (role # 1) Percussion
• (role # 2) Strings/Piano

to guide and direct students in our extensive Instrumental Music Program.

About the roles
Your major accountabilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Delivery of the St Teresas Catholic College Instrumental Music Program, linked to the contexts studied within classroom music.
• The ability to demonstrate high quality interpersonal skills and current exemplary tutoring practice.
• The ability to communicate with staff, students and parents in a timely and respectful manner.
• Ability to motivate all students at differing levels of ability and implement appropriate adjustments and differentiation where required.
• Teaching small group tuition within a family of instruments.
• Work collaboratively with leadership teams, other instrumental tutors and secondary Music Teachers to ensure the smooth running of school performances and events.
• Identification of maintenance required on instruments and providing basic maintenance where possible.
• Willingness to work outside regular school hours for performances and events.
• Other administrative tasks as required.
• Strings/Piano role will also be required to participate / offer ensemble instruction.

Note: Student numbers determining lesson loads are subject to enrolment requests.

Essential Criteria:

• A Tertiary Qualification in Music, or currently studying Music at Tertiary level.
• Experience in staging performance events.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Teams and Microsoft Excel.
