Our client is seeking a passionate Grade 1 or 2 Speech Pathologist to join their NDIS Childhood Intervention Services team and make a difference to the lives of children and their families!
As the successful Speech Pathologist, you will work collaboratively with a large multi-disciplinary and like-minded team along with supportive management. This role will involve you working closely with families, childcare, Kindergartens, PSFO Officers, and school staff.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver services to children with developmental delay and disability (0-7 years of age) and
their family - Provide services under the National Disability Insurance Scheme and / or fee for
service - Identify goals and provide support and strategies to address goals
- Deliver services at home, childcare, kindergarten and school as well as EACH
centres - Make appropriate referrals both internally and externally and to undertake secondary
consultations in the team - To liaise and support other team members
- Facilitate group programs
Qualifications:
In addition to a self-directed passion and drive to support children within the community, you will:
- Hold a tertiary qualification in Speech Pathology and Eligibility to join Speech Pathology Australia
- Thrive in environments that allow you to form positive relationships with children as well as their families
- Demonstrated knowledge of child development
- Have a high level of communication to communicate effectively with clients and families, and to relate to a wide range of people
