Your new role: Speech Pathologist - Therapy Mentor
Location: This role will work across and support both the Barwon and Ballarat hubs.

As a Therapy Mentor, you will be an emerging, consolidated or advanced clinician in our hub and will support teams to implement evidence-based disability practice in their hubs and areas.

You will be responsible for achieving clinical targets relevant to their hub and area and will provide input into therapy plans, raise clinical concerns, provide solutions and support team members with learning and development activities.

You will also support with mentoring team members completing their OTFS program along with new graduates.

The Therapy Mentor will promote the EI Clinical Model and champion new practices developed by the leadership team.
Therapy mentors will work collaboratively with the therapy consultants in the area. Therapy consultants will identify and promote the implementation of the relevant strategies and learnings for the area.

To be successful in this role you will have:
Demonstrated extensive previous experience in Speech Pathology in community-based settings, preferably providing supports in a disability setting
Tertiary qualified degree in Speech Pathology with current registration with Speech Pathology Australia (SPA) for clinical work
Strong communication skills with demonstrated ability to build relationships with key stakeholders
Knowledge of contemporary therapy practises and services
Commitment to learning and development
Ability to prioritise and influence - enabling the delivery of practical solutions within timelines
Experience in working with clinical strategy and working to targets
Experience or knowledge with risk prevention and management
Ability to compile, analyse and present statistical data
Commitment to achieving outcomes for people living with a disability and supporting them to reach their full potential
WWCC & NDIS Checks
Covid 19 vaccination and booster
Experience working with an adult caseload is preferred but not essential
