There is an opportunity for a State Director, Queensland to join a leading Australian membership based institute with a focus on CEOs and executives across the country. This position will manage all aspects of the Queensland business with a primary focus on growing the existing membership, the profitability of the business, and ensuring effective use of both business assets and human resources. This role will be the face of the Institute in QLD, responsible for giving the proper strategic direction and implementing a high-quality vision.
Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and direction for the marketing of the institute, conducting high-level procurement presentations to CEOs of Corporate, NFP and Government Entities.
- Ensure annual procurement and attrition targets are met
- Undertake appropriate liaisons with the institute Chairs regarding placement of new members and membership issues
- Manage all facets of membership retention to minimise attrition
- Provide leadership, direction and support for the Member Services team who are responsible for the day-to-day administration of the institute.
- Work alongside the member manager to recruit and induct Syndicate and Future CEO Chairs and speakers and provide ongoing leadership, direction and support for them to ensure program delivery is of a consistently high standard.
- Prepare an annual business plan and budget for the QLD business for approval by the Chairman & CEO.
- Prepare a monthly management report for the Chairman & CEO for the preceding month.
- Be a member of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT), which includes preparing for and attending the regular management meetings (primarily held via Zoom).
- Source sponsorship for networking events, as or when required.
Requirements
- Minimum of 15 years relevant business experience, ideally in a business-to-business service environment which involved successfully building a brand.
- General business acumen, sales and marketing awareness gained through being exposed to a range of business issues, and the confidence and maturity to deal effectively with senior executives from a wide diversity of business backgrounds.
- High level of energy, commitment, ethics and passion: who can model the professionalism and personal ethics appropriate to the organisation.
- Proven capability in corporate sales combined with a business development mindset.
