This role is responsible for Western Australia and South Australia and some interstate travel will be required.
The role
The State Operations Manager (Neverfail) plays an integral leadership role that sets the strategy, implementation and execution or our end-to-end delivery model across the Neverfail business.
In this role, the State Operations Manager (Neverfail) will be responsible for driving customer service excellence that safely delivers the growth objectives and aspirations of Neverfail through the Logistics arm of the business. You will be accountable for the logistics commercials, ensuring effective management of the financial levers that impact on your state P&L.
You will be a resilient leader that embraces and drives change through the organisation, bringing to life the Logistics initiatives as part of the Project Upstream transformation.
Leveraging their strong commercial expertise, the State Operations Manager (Neverfail), will maximise GSR and positive EBIT outcomes, whilst mitigating risk in accordance with CCEP’s guidelines, policy, and performance metrics.
Communication, leadership, exceptional negotiation and influencing skills are essential, along with your ability to effectively manage and build strong working relationships with key decision-makers and key stakeholders both internally and externally. You will be a collaborative and outcomes-focused leader who will work closely with both your sales and operations team counterparts, your direct team (and theirs) as well as the broader Neverfail community.
Key responsibilities include
Leadership & Culture
Drive a strong safety culture, leading by example and driving key strategic safety initiatives.
Provide a safe environment for all employees, Contractors, and visitors by ensuring compliance with our workplace health and safety, chain of responsibility and contractor management policies and procedures.
Develop and maintain an inclusive team and community culture that enables our people to feel recognised, valued and engaged.
Lead, coach and develop a diverse and high performing team that allows our people to realise their career potential.
Drive and embed consistency in routines across Logistics, targeted at unlocking a competitive edge for Neverfail in the bulk water industry.
Hands on and lead from the front, demonstrating personal commitment to change.
Make decisions that are not only right for today but don’t compromise tomorrow, taking a balanced view that ensures we deliver the yearly result and build long term sustainability.
Be an active member of the Neverfail Operations LT, demonstrating strong interpersonal skills and ability to liaise and influence across all levels.
Negotiation
Planned and intentional with negotiations.
Prioritisation / agility around growth options.
Negotiating contracts for delivery partners (3PL & Owner Driver Contractor & Distributors).
Use of appropriate behaviour and tactics to drive the best outcome for Neverfail & CCEP.
Provide guidance, support & Insights to Logistics Managers on Strategic business decisions that maximise efficiencies, reduce cost and future drive the Neverfail business.
Customer focused & alignment
Build, develop and maintain strong relationships and understanding of Neverfail customers and how to deliver the best outcome for each customer.
Understand and anticipate the changing needs of our customers and support the development of strategies to respond to these.
Build a customer centric culture that delivers the right outcomes for our customers and maximises revenue performance for Neverfail.
Embed Planned Call principles that drive customer satisfaction and supports the desired growth and financial outcomes for Neverfail.
Planning & Strategy
Contribute to the development of the Neverfail Logistics Strategic plan and roadmap.
Strategically plan and manage the performance of logistics activities across Neverfail operations through effective planning, coordination and management of logistics activities.
Develop and implement logistics strategies to improve service creating the future Hydration Fulfilment Model, financial benefits through creating an agile and efficient model, process and operational performance and efficiency, delivering optimal financial and service outcomes.
Ensure logistics is at the forefront of decisions around network design, production planning, warehouse capacity and interstate freight decisions.
Protect Neverfail assets, brand, employees and resources.
Ability to effectively manage 3PL relationships, both operationally and strategically.
Drives efficiencies through the logistics network that supports the desired financial outcomes for Neverfail.
Commercial Acumen
Clear KPIs (incl. volume / profit) linked to Neverfail objectives
Understands industry dynamics and possible implications for CCEP

Interpreting data to develop insights

To be successful in this role you will have
Demonstrated experience across multiple supply chain disciplines and with firsthand customer management experience.
Demonstrated record of driving value and productivity.
Ability to manage relationships and building partnerships with key stakeholders and all levels.
A thorough understanding and demonstrated leadership in the application of Lean principles that removes waste, eliminates inefficiencies, and improves processes.
Demonstrated leadership effectiveness in developing people and managing a high performing team that delivers operational performance excellence and the ability to execute significant change programs.
A proven track record in negotiation
a confident, energetic, and personable style
Competency using technology with deep understanding of Owner Driver Contractors & Distributors as well as relevant legislation
Perseverance and resilience if things go wrong
