The Opportunity
This role is overall responsible for the delivery of the Transport Optimisation function for the State to provide cost, efficiency, and service benefits to the target.

Key Duties include

Managing the delivery of the Optimisation function for the State to provide cost, efficiency, and service benefits to the target
Managing and providing input into State Store Delivery reporting and insights (ie identify reports and insights and manage to have these insights delivered)
Executing the national projects and efficiencies and co-ordination of standardisation of processes (eg fleet utilisation, visibility, 2/3 pallets, d-pallets, etc)
Completing costing of alternative network options on the Store Delivery function
Modelling optimising processes nationally with an end-to-end viewpoint

About you

We’re seeking the following skills and experience:
Have extensive experience in transport, commercial structures, and modelling
Have extensive experience in / Logistics / Supply Chain / 3PL / Fleet Management
Demonstrated success in influencing and leadership of change projects with multiple stakeholders
A high level of communication and interpersonal skills, including excellent conflict resolution and negotiation skills.
Strong people management skills with the ability to motivate and inspire internal and external stakeholders
Strong analytical capability, combined with a passion for continuous improvement
Commercially astute and capable in both business financials and transport commercials and contracts
