About the opportunity

As part of the Analytics & Reporting team, this role will mine and analyse complex data from multiple sources using knowledge of modelling, statistics and analytics to identify and solve business problems. The role is responsible for understanding the business and finding insights from data that can drive development and improvement across our health services.

Key responsibilities of this role include:
  • Identify and facilitate the implementation of new potential data sources into BI systems
  • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of data is maintained through robust and systematic controls
  • Develop algorithms and perform calculations in order to produce solutions for business
  • Develop robust forecasting frameworks that can be used to ensure continuous service accuracy, efficiency and future design development
  • Define, develop and deliver insightful dashboards to a high standard professional level
  • Present and effectively communicate solutions, models and insights to a range of business stakeholders, contributing to strategic decisions
  • Demonstrate a continuous improvement approach to processes and services
This role is a 12 month fixed term contract

What we’re looking for
  • Experience in data handling and management
  • Proven ability in utilizing statistical modelling and analytical methods. Experience with R is desirable
  • A high level of thoroughness and attention to detail and an eagerness to develop skills
  • A problem solving mindset
  • Experience with BI tools (eg Qlik or Tableau)
  • Experience in databases and scripting (eg SQL)
  • Demonstrated interest in tools and topics such as Python, R, machine learning and predictive analysis
  • Sound writing and communication skills
  • Relevant qualifications (eg epidemiology, mathematics, science, economics, statistics or philosophy)
