Our Store General Managers have worked in retail leadership roles for many years, but this has been their dream role. Here, our team aren't dealing with objects and garments, but bringing their experience to help everyday families with advice, support and solutions for the health and happiness of their beloved pets.
Our Store Managers are also feeling fulfilled. They are actively involved in bringing cohesion and real team development to life that ensures customers are receiving meaningful support within our retail, veterinary clinic and grooming salon services in store. This dynamic business keeps our store managers active in the operations of multiple channels within the store, along with overseeing the 2IC and 15 team members, management of team and sales performance, recruitment, regular collaboration with the grooming team & Lead Vet, community & supplier engagement and business reporting.
This store is a hub of activity all year round and at its core is you as its Store General Manager.
Desired Skills and Experience

If you have been a store and department manager within a big box retail brand over the past five years of your career, then you are well - experienced in managing the many aspects of this business. You are able to:
- create and maintain a culture of customer service excellence;
- develop a high performing team knowledgeable in products & services,
- achieve growth week on week through insightful analysis of business reports,
- understand sales levers and how to convert them into targeted strategies,
- manage cost of doing business through Profit & Loss statements,
- effectively manage stock and allocate tasks to team member strengths,
- remain calm and positive during times of growth and business change, and
- respond with agility to different scenarios with sound business decisions.
