Our stores and our team embrace fashion in all styles and forms, we are looking for a motivated individual seeking a multi faceted role in a purpose driven and growing business. The role is full time, Tuesday- Saturday.

As a Store Manager you are responsible for representing the Goodbyes values and upholding the Goodbyes policies and procedures in your store and across your team.
With over 35,000 sellers across Australia we pride ourselves on the strong relationships we have built in the communities in which we operate. We are not a typical retail experience and we couldn’t do what we do without the loyalty and participation of our members! It’s an important aspect of this role to be able to foster and continue to grow our community impact.
Furthermore, your areas of responsibility will include:
General:
- Effective overall operation of the store including store presentation
- Store duties including housekeeping, merchandising, shop floor duties, theft prevention
- Administration duties including emails, banking, member resolution and reporting
- Open and close cash reconciliation
- Meeting KPIs and increasing overall efficiency of operations across your team
Leadership and support
- Leadership duties including clear communication, delegation, providing constructive feedback and offering guidance when necessary
- Demonstrating leadership qualities including initiative, organisation, accountability and time management
- Liaising with upper management and directors as required
- Participating in bi-monthly management team meetings
- Driving content creation for social channels within your team
Training and development
- Overseeing training and development of your team in all areas of the store
- Assisting the with training and development of your team in the pricing role
- Conducting employee inductions, training and performance reviews and performance management
Quality control and pricing
- Supporting the Assistant Manager to ensure pricing and quality control KPIs are met
- Assisting with quality control through training, journals and on the spot feedback to team
- Following and implementing best practice of sorting and pricing policies and procedures
Service and experience
- Fostering, training and providing clear and concise communication of Goodbyes service and terms to members.
- Management of member and customer relations and enquiries
- Promoting, training and providing exceptional customer service
- High level skills in resolution of member enquiries
- Working with Head of Retail and Operations to monitor and respond to and encourage positive Google reviews
Community engagement
- Seeking out opportunities for Goodbyes to participate and collaborate with the local community (organisations, members, customers, team, events)
- Attending industry or community aligned events

- Encouraging open communication, honesty and transparency at all times
- Ensuring staff read, understand and comply with company policies and procedures
You will work closely with the store's Assistant Manager, Retail and Operations Manager and upper management. Ongoing feedback will be provided to you regarding team and store performance to ensure business objectives are being met and to assist you in fulfilling your role.
