About the Role
We are recruiting a Storeperson / General Hand to take responsibility for the full Bandsaw invoice cycle (from pick slip to invoice generation), and help process the day-to-day operational requirements of the warehouse. You will also be responsible for cutting, welding and grinding of Bandsaw blades to a variety of lengths and weight, packing and shipping.
The main duties include:
- Bandsaw Operations – accurate cutting and grinding of blades of various lengths and weights for customer requirements
- Forklift driving
- Loading and unloading trucks
- Manual lifting involved
- Stock handling
- Cycle counts and full stock counts
- Sales invoice cycle for Bandsaw (pick slip, dispatch and invoice)
- General warehouse housekeeping.
To be considered for this position, you will possess the following:
- Welding and grinding experience an advantage but is not essential as full training will be provided
- Previous warehousing experience
- Ability to work in a hands-on role
- Attention to detail
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Self-starter, energetic and proactive
- Strong communication skills - both written and verbal
- Sound level of Computer literacy including previous use of Microsoft Office
- Forklift licence is essential – at least 1-2 years’ experience
- Current driver's licence.
