What you will be doing
- Responsibility for overall stock control of the warehouse with particular emphasis on checking, receipting, labelling and allocation of all inwards goods.
- Assist in the dispatch of store stock in accordance with company procedures
- Monitor and action negative stock, obsolete lines, damaged goods and cycle counting as required
- Take an active role in branch stocktakes every 12 months
- Manage stock returns to suppliers and customer credits
- Effectively communicate with your manager, peers and work colleagues
- Demonstrate a personal commitment to Safety, Health and Environment principles by complying with and actively participating in training programs
What you can bring
- A good understanding and experience in warehousing
- Stock control experience across building products highly regarded
- Ability to follow set procedures / processes and be confident in offering Ideas for improvement
- Excellent time management skills
- Ability to work autonomously
- Sound verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organisation skills and an eye for accuracy
- Drivers and Forklift Licence (Preferred)
- Outgoing and enthusiastic personality
- Ability to use initiative
