About the Position
The City of Onkaparinga is experiencing an ongoing demand for large scale residential developments and we require a Stormwater Engineer to assist in providing technical advice for the projects undertaken by council. The Stormwater Engineer works in conjunction with our Senior Stormwater Engineer, Asset Planners, Development Coordinators and Civil Designers to prepare drainage solutions for council projects and review drainage proposals on applications for land divisions.
This role will provide you with a unique opportunity to work within our Technical Services section to assist in delivering outstanding subdivision projects. The successful applicant will have a sound knowledge of stormwater design techniques and the relevant local guidelines and standards, with the technical experience to coordinate input from internal stakeholders. Good oral and written communication skills are essential, with a pragmatic approach and an ability to achieve optimum outcomes for both Council and Developers.
About You
Working with the Senior Stormwater Engineer within a professional and collaborative team, your energy, positivity and ability to communicate effectively will enable you to support the delivery od drainage solutions and advice to achieve excellent outcomes for investors and the community.
You will have an ability to build rapport with asset planners, developers and the public to influence drainage outcomes and apply your knowledge of design and engineering regulations to provide valuable input at meetings.
