Your new role:
Due to an internal transfer, we are looking for a Strategy Lead to join our growing team. Reporting into the Strategy Manager you will be responsible for shaping future business strategy, corporate strategy, and supporting corporate management. Tasks encompass identifying new business opportunities, analysing the market environment and company’s value proposition, and recommending strategies. Additionally, the role involves planning, supporting corporate operations, and recommending strategic plans.
This is a great opportunity if you have experience within the maritime defence industry and looking to move into a Strategy role.
Your primary areas of responsibility:
Corporate strategy:
- Analyse the corporate structure and corporate budget and provide recommendations.
- Establish R&D self-fund process and oversee its implementation.
- Support the corporate operations, establish necessary processes, and recommend strategic plans for corporate operations.
New business development strategy:
- Establish the strategic planning as required for new business areas in defence segments, such as autonomous systems of Land and Undersea, C4ISR, and Maritime.
- Support long-term business development strategy.
As an ideal candidate you will have the following:
Experience:
- Defence experience within maritime is preferred
- Proven experience in business development, corporate strategy, or a related field will be highly regarded
- Engineering background desirable
Skills and Key Attributes:
- Demonstrated conceptual, analytical and research skills.
- Intermediate to Advanced Microsoft Office skills.
- Customer Relationship Management tool (Salesforce) desirable but not essential.
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
- Excellent organisational and administrative skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team and communicate effectively.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Commerce, Engineering, or related field.
Eligibility
