Formed in 1998, StudyAdelaide is a dynamic public corporation which partners with South Australia’s education providers and government agencies to elevate Adelaide’s profile as the premier study destination for international students. Study Adelaide provides a range of enriching social, cultural, and educational programs and activities, building success for international students to thrive academically, professionally, and personally.
The Student Engagement Manager reports to the Director, Engagement and Partnerships and is primarily responsible for:
- working with education institutions and a range of partners including local government, arts, sporting, community and cultural organisations to research and develop the STUDENT ENGAGEMENT strategy;
- delivering a range of events and initiatives to ensure international students feel welcome, valued and engaged during their time studying and living in South Australia;
- identifying and managing a coordinated response to issues experienced by international students;
- recruiting, managing, supporting and mentoring the annual team of student ambassadors assisting with the delivery of the STUDENT ENGAGEMENT program;
- managing the annual STUDENT ENGAGEMENT budget.
Applications are encouraged from appropriately qualified professionals with demonstrated experience in a similarly complex stakeholder engagement or business development role. Excellent skills in verbal and written communication, budget management and positive leadership abilities will be required along with demonstrated ability to effectively manage service providers and contracts. Experience in the international education sector would be an advantage but is not essential.
This is an outstanding opportunity to join the foremost organisation responsible for promoting Adelaide as the international study destination of choice.
